I am a jack of many trades, 3D is my differentiator.
3D Animation and Rendering
I use tools including Cinema4D, Houdini, Modo, Substance Designer, Substance Painter daily. But I have been in other tools, including Maya, Blender, Unity, Sketchup etc…
I currently use Redshift as my primary render engine, but I have years of experience in VRay, Arnold and Octane.
Art Direction
I have directed dozens of projects across seemingly every field of design/marketing for some of the worlds biggest brands. From banner ads and decks to 3D product launches to concert animation graphics, posters, websites, social media posts, yada yada. My hands are filthy with experience.
I am also keen to work with other Art Directors and Creative Directors in a variety of ways. I can provide ideas, I can execute others. Every director has a different process and focuses on different things.
2D Animation
I have been using After Effects since before I was born. I also enjoy experimenting with cel-animation, and enjoy projects where I can work with illustrators and other talented animators.
I have done many, many 2D projects, from simple typographic pieces to fully-illustrated animations. Please contact me for some to look at as some cannot be blasted all over the internet.
Production
The dirty work of a project requires focus. I am process-oriented and have a way of squeezing the most out of moderate budgets by sweeping away typical bottlenecks and waste. Everybody says this, not many people can actually do it.
Inspiration
I enjoy working with and mentoring creatives in this industry. I believe in always pushing for a higher standard, yet allowing people around me to feel that they have stepped just far enough out their comfort zone to be exhilarated, not exhausted.
Growth
Okay, it’s corny. I don’t care. I got into this world of design because of the fact that I will never run out of new things to learn.
I constantly learn new things that I can bring to the table, from hard skills to soft skills, I am always trying to improve.
