Widmer Brothers TV Spots
I made these TV spots which ran on TV. One for the Blazers and one for the Timbers. They were the same, except for the label and the music. They were fun to make, and Widmer sold so much beer that they had to make extra to account for it. We almost had a wheat shortage because of all the beer they had to make. It was pretty crazy, but we were okay at the end of it.
I’m not an alcoholic.
I once had a meeting at Widmer Brothers (with the actual brothers) at 9:30 in the morning. There was so much beer available to drink, it was stunning. I didn’t have any of it, which clearly shows I’m trustworthy and responsible.
Sometimes things workout.
This project had a tight budget, which is odd because most projects seem to have too much money available and too much time. That’s sarcasm. Anyway, we were scrappy, but the spots turned out great and impressed my kids when they saw them during games on TV.
